Introduction

The role of the Campus Student Council President is not just a title, but a responsibility to represent, inspire, and empower the student body. I, Fitsum Asegahegn Zewude, am submitting this proposal to formally express my intent and vision for serving as the next Campus Student Council President. My candidacy is driven by a deep commitment to student welfare, academic excellence, leadership, and inclusivity. Background and Motivation

My Journey

As an active student in the department of Statistics, I have participated in charity events, community initiatives, academic projects, and student-led events. These experiences have enriched my understanding of student needs, administrative challenges, and the value of inclusive dialogue.

My Motivation

The motivation behind running for president stems from my desire to:

If elected, I will focus on five main pillars: Representation, Empowerment, Transparency, Innovation, and Unity.

  • Establish monthly open forums where students can voice concerns directly to the council.
  • Ensure department representatives attend council meetings to convey diverse voices.
  • Advocate for student involvement in key university policy-making committees.
